Scatterslides™ Getting Started Guide

Installation

Select Market Application.
Search and Find Scatterslides.
Select and install Scatterslides or Scatterslides trial, by following your Android phone’s onscreen instructions.

Scattershow™ installation on PC or other Windows device(s) on which you would like to display presentation:

Scattershow is a free download and you can install on as many Windows devices as you wish. The application can also be run from a thumb drive.

Using a USB cable, connect your smartphone to a computer on which presentation files are stored. You will see an indication of USB connection on your phone information bar.
Pull down your phone information bar and select Mount to make your phone SD card available for copying files from your computer.
On your PC, the phone SD card will appear as a removable drive. Drag and drop your presentation files anywhere on the SD card mounted drive.
Disconnect your phone from the computer.

Make sure your presentation PC is connected on the desired local area network.
Make sure your Android phone WiFi Wireless network is enabled. From the main menu select Settings > Wireless Controls > Wi-Fi. Select and connect to the appropriate Wi-Fi access point – your Scatterslides-enabled phone and Windows device running Scattershow should be on the same network.
Advanced option - you can verify connectivity by pinging the Google Android phone from your PC. From the main menu on your phone, select Settings > Wireless Controls > Wi-Fi Settings. In Wi-Fi networks section click on the network with the connected status. Record the phone IP address that is displayed in this network information window. Tap the Cancel button. On the presentation PC select Start > Run. Type cmd in the open line and click OK. In the window, at the command prompt, type ping yourphone’sIPaddress. If there is proper connectivity between the phone and the PC, ping statistics with 0 lost packets will be reported.

On the PC connected to the display on which you want to present, click on Start>Scattershow>Scattershow to start Player application. The About Scattershow window will be displayed. It will provide status information, including, the presentation PC’s IP address and the presentation applications found on the PC (e.g. Power Point and OpenOffice.org). Click OK to minimize the window to system tray.
Click the right mouse button on the Player icon in the system tray and click on settings. To limit access to Player, select Only the listed phones may connect. Access will then be restricted to the smartphones listed below, added by entering the telephone number.
On the Android phone, start Scatterslides. A list of presentation files found on the phone SD card will be displayed.

From the list of presentation files displayed in the initial Scatterslides window, select the presentation you wish to run. A window stating that Thumbnails are needed will appear if this is the first time you have delivered this presentation. Tap OK.
The Scatterslides application will search for an available Player on which to display the presentation. Select the desired Player from the list, and Scatterslides will then transfer to it the selected presentation. The Player will open the presentation and synchronize the views with the Scatterslides.
Using Scatterslides’ menu controls, run the presentation.
